Growing up on a 10 acre self sufficient farm in North Otago NZ, Josh learnt to be very practical, realizing he had a keen eye and a healthy appetite for construction.
Finishing his apprenticeship, Josh followed through 5 years practical experience with five separate construction firms. Learning numerous skills whilst working on projects large & small including bars, restaurants, formwork, concreting & complete commercial buildings from start to finish.
Moving to Auckland in 2001, Josh started a fairly extensive career in the film industry, mainly building sets and props for TV commercials. This led to spending several months working for Xena and Hercules and then later working on feature films.
Josh quickly discovered he had a very diverse knowledge of materials and practical applications. Always working with clients in a close and affordable manor, creating solutions to suit their needs. Josh thinks outside the square and is very conscious of the environment, trying to use sustainable materials and incorporate recycled timbers.
Josh moved to Australia in 2006, continuing a film and television career between commercial and residential projects. Commercial work, shop fitting, offices and events relates to about 70% of his work. However, residential, bespoke kitchens, storage solutions and joinery are a particular passion, as it allows more design and creativity. Josh really enjoy working closely with the client and achieving well balanced, original pieces that they in turn can feel proud of and know it will stand the test of time.
Josh believes your home and business are extensions of your life.
